COLOR GUIDE FOR COLORED CANDLE MAKING

Add color and give extra personality to your candles and home beyond the scent.

Different shades can be achieved by mixing the primary colors (magenta, cyan, and yellow) and black pellets that come in our CMYK color set.

Mixing colors is a great way to find your perfect color palette and is super simple to do.
Check how you can mix color pellets for the perfect touch to your candles:

The more dye you add, the more intense your color will be, by adding more pellets, the stronger and more vibrant the color will become. You can also create lighter colors and pastel shades by using less pellets in your wax.

We recommend a maximum of 4 pellets for a standard candle (100ml of oil and 20g wax). Mixing colors is an art in itself!

Don’t forget you can always add more dye, but you can’t take it out so remember to add your pellets carefully.

Let your wax set to see exactly what color your final candle will be. Melted wax often looks darker and a slightly different color before setting.

It’s also important to note that the color of your candle will depend on the type, quality, and condition of the cooking oil you use. The lighter the oil, the lighter the candle color, also the darker the oil, the darker the candle color will be.
